They don’t care about your allergies
They have absolutely no way to remove substances that you have allergies to. They preselected a meal with mushrooms which I am allergic too. I attempted to skip the week but it didnt work. When I reported that I am allergic they refused to cancel the order. If you dont check what they are sending they dont care if you are allergic or not.

Don't sign up, in 2 weeks - half my recipes were missing ingredients.
Don't sign up! They're an absolute joke.

My first box was already messed up. Out of my three meals, two of the meals had ingredients missing. Furthermore, one of those meals had THREE ingredients missing. On top of that, everything was thrown into a bag in such a way that tomatoes ended up bruised and the onion had a chunk out of it.

I contacted customer service for the first instance. But by the second, I'd requested my account to be closed. It was too late to cancel my second box however.

Guess what? Box two was messed up also! In the second box, one recipe was missing one key ingredient... And on top of that, I was given an extra meal - unfortunately, one with meat and I'm a vegetarian! Considering that I asked and paid for veggie boxes, having one packed with chicken in it is not acceptable.

They don't give any form of refund apart from a credit to a future order. However, there's no way on earth I would ever sign up to get meals from them again.

Animal welfare promises
HelloFresh has made several commitments to animal welfare and has not kept them. I would like them to be transparent about their progress, this is an important issue to many Americans. I will not do business with a dishonest company.

Good company
The food is good. During the height of the pandemic we had some issue with delivery and with ingredients, but since then they seem to be doing better. I left them but I'm back now. The food is tasty and creative. It's easy enough to cook for my wife and she enjoys it.

Total disappointment
I have never been so disappointed in a company like that before.
Bought our first box that never showed u. Called customer service just to get an oops sorry about that, we'll give you $10 discount toward your next box. Ordered a second box SAME THING, come now, get your sh**t together. We didn't do grocery shopping for two weeks because you promised our box would arrive on time. Very disappointed.

Would be an excellent service if deliveries actually showed up on time
I've been a HelloFresh subscriber for 5 months now, and at least one out of every 4 deliveries has been late by at least 1 full day, if not longer. This is a huge problem during the summer months because each time this has happened the food has been rancid and I've had to throw out the entire box.

I tend to be patient with these things, but it has been happening repeatedly and HelloFresh refuses to offer any kind of discount or compensation to make things right. They just refund the cost of the wasted box and say they're reporting it to their logistics team, but nothing has been done about the issue. My grocery money is then tied up in a box of rancid food for the next 5-10 days while I wait for my refund.

It's one thing to have logistics issues, every food delivery service does, but it is unacceptable to not make things right with your customer, especially when the issues are repeated and have been well documented.

The only reason they're getting a 2-star review is that I enjoyed the service when it actually showed up. Do better HelloFresh.

Three deliveries and customer service gone wrong
I’ve never had an issue until this year with hello fresh. Three weeks back to back in a row I’ve had so many issues with the delivery and customer service of hello fresh, whether it was damaged ingredients, or damaged box that never got delivered, opened box that was delivered, and even a box that was delivered half a mile away. The customer service representative was very unhelpful and had the audacity to roll me to go to the grocery store and I kept asking for a refund and she not once offered one. I cancelled my subscription and will never order from them again. It is quite the bummer.

Supports Animal Abuse
Unfortunately, Hello Fresh has refused to uphold its promises regarding improvements in animal welfare. I cannot recommend anyone support a company that encourages the unnecessary suffering of others. 45,000 people have signed a petition sharing this same concern for Hello Fresh's actions.

Scam!
Scam!! I received a free box but canceled due to menu. Instead they signed me up for a subscription. I now have tried twice to cancel the subscription!!! Nightmare! Stay far away from this company!!

Very disappointed
I will never order from hello fresh again. I am very outraged. First off they charged me 4 times it took 3 weeks to a month to get my first box and it was horrible. I don't know how long they've been traveling with this but it smelled like something dead coming from the box, and the UPS even had it in a plastic bag. When I opened it it was filled with maggots. I called and talked to an agent and supposedly they could not refund me of my money and couldn't cancel my subscription. I will be contacting the BBB since they can't do any better then this and maybe my lawyer as well to get my money back.

Re-subscribed to Hello Fresh and cancelled when 2nd delivery not received, only a pack of lies from Customer Service
Subscribed to Hello Fresh and cancelled due to the high per meal cost. After months of weekly mail and emails requesting I come back, and providing what at first appeared to be a great discount, 17 free meals, the second delivery was not received as indicated. I called to see where my delivery was. I pointed out the tracking number shows on FedEx as only the label had been created, shipment had not actually been received and HF website even shows the shipment was still being prepared.

LIE #1: I was told that FedEx would deliver by 8 pm that night, FedEx website was not up to date and HF had more accurate info in their system, not visible to me. Additionally someone would call me back at 8 the next morning to confirm delivery. No delivery, no call.

LIE #2: Received an email the same night I called
explaining the non-delivery was the fault of Fed Ex.

Called again the next day around 8:30 am, 1/2 hour after they were supposed to call me, again could not get a straight answer to when I could expect delivery. Frustration due to the lack of Customer Service, I cancelled again.

LIE #3: Received the cancellation email showing "Confirmation" of delivery the day before. Checked my credit card to see the delivery had been billed to me 4 days before the package was supposed to ship, and for over 30% more then what the price showed when I picked the meals I wanted for that shipment.

Called back again to see when I can expect a refund, after being placed on hold twice, for nearly 5 minutes both times, I still don't know when to expect a refund.

LIE #4 When asking about the refund, was told to expect delivery by 6 pm that evening. NOT EVEN SHIPPED YET according to the website.

LIE #5 website now shows delivery was received yesterday.

Absolute disappointment, never again.
This company has done everything opposite of what it said it would do. I chose meals and received completely different meals. I've got random charges, some not approved of.... After the 100 mailings I received, I decided to give it another shot. Nothing but disappointment and scam. I will never try hello fresh again and customer service was ZERO help.

Awful Delivery Service - DO NOT USE HELLOFRESH
When I signed up for HelloFresh, I was excited to not grocery shop for once. However, after this experience, I would gladly grocery shop than deal with this service ever again.

When I first signed up, I picked my plans and input my payment. My payment initially did not go through, unfortunately, and I decided I would update it with a new card. Before I could do so, however, the system re-charged my card and completely changed my plan. My delivery date, my meals, everything was changed. Luckily, I was able to change my meals, and I figured I could try to make the delivery date work.

On the day of the delivery date, I was given a tracking number to see when it would arrive. The delivery window is 12 HOURS by the way. That's a long time for your food to be sitting in a delivery truck. When I looked at my schedule, for some reason it changed from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. How does that happen?? So I decided to do some errands, but shortly after I leave, I get a call saying that my delivery has arrived.
STRIKE #1: Inconsistent delivery time.

I ask if they can wait for my boyfriend (who is on crutches) to open the gate for them so they could help him take the boxes to the second floor, where our apartment is. Instead, the delivery girl left the boxes outside our apartment gate where anyone on the street could grab them. She did not even wait for my boyfriend to appear at the gate.
STRIKE #2: Careless delivery.

Then, after rushing home so I could get the boxes from the street, I open the boxes to put the food in the fridge and find that many of the bags are soggy from the melting ice packs and have ripped open. I was absolutely disgusted.

Finally, after trying out some of the meals, I realized that the meals were quite bland, merely asking you to "season with salt and pepper." These meals require a lot more seasoning and spices than that.
STRIKE #3: Awful packaging, and the meals aren't even worth it in the end.

All around, this plan is a waste of time and money. DO NOT USE THIS PLAN!!
